A highly aesthetic and dramatic Ferberite specimen, not only from Bolivia, but any world locality. The biggest problem with a lot of “black” rocks (because of my affinity for them, I like to call them “black beauties”) is the fact that they’re not always terribly aesthetic.

THIS piece is one of the most eye-catching Ferberites I’ve seen. This incredibly three-dimensional and sculptural display specimen features a beautiful, sharp, very well-formed, multi-twinned group that is DOUBLY TERMINATED!! If that wasn’t enough, the twins are beautifully intergrown with sharp, layered blades of Ferberite on the side. The piece displays well on its own from a few angles, is in great shape all around and is certainly even more impressive in person.

Ferberite was sometimes previously referred to as "Wolframite", which was supposed to be an intermediary species between Ferberite and Hubnerite, but has since been discredited. Bolivian Ferberites (especially those from Tasna) are often and sadly underrated/overlooked, but in many instances will surpass other Ferberites from Yaogangxian or Panasqueira for size and quality.
