Ferberite with Quartz

A VERY rarely seen doubly terminated Ferberite twin from Tasna. This specimen is an impressive, fairly sharp, semi-lustrous DOUBLY TERMINATED twin which is only seen in a very small percentage of pieces from Tasna. A few small gem Quartz crystals on the side of the piece make for a great accent to this already eye-catching little specimen. The back of the twin has a “rub” which keeps it from being completely perfect, but it’s more than forgivable considering that there virtually every Ferberite from Tasna has some kind of imperfection.

The piece truly looks better in person as Ferberite is a difficult species to accurately photograph, so much so that we decided to draw a red “X” on one of the photos to help illustrate the twinning planes. A more than worthwhile Ferberite that would make a great addition to any collection.
