This is without a doubt one of the most distinctive Ludlamites I have seen from Huanuni. Typically, the Ludlamites from this locality are found in fan-like “sprays” or even “bow tie”-shaped aggregates, but to find a sphere-shaped aggregate like this is exceedingly rare. Additionally, Ludlamite associated with Quartz is also incredibly rare. The Ludlamite “ball” on this piece is virtually undamaged and has a pleasing rich green color with good luster and translucence. The final touch to the piece is the rarely seen Quartz and Siderite matrix with minor black Cassiterite. It’s an aesthetic specimen with the Ludlamite “ball” smartly propped up at the top of the piece, and it displays well from a few angles.

If you’re a Bolivian collector, or a phosphate collector, or if you like unusual, rare, colorful minerals, then be sure to pick this one up as it’s the only one like it that I have to offer. There are truly about 5 localities in the world that produce fine crystallized Ludlamite specimens, and ALL of them, except for Huanuni and now defunct.

PLEASE NOTE: There have been no more of these specimens found for many years from this locality, and it is a possibility there will never be any more, so don't miss out on a good quality and uncommon piece from a classic Bolivian locality.
