A beautiful Ludlamite specimen from the famous mine at Haununi. This mine is actually the LARGEST Cassiterite deposit in the world but is best known for its phosphate species. There are truly about 5 localities in the world that produce fine crystallized Ludlamite specimens, and ALL of them, except for Huanuni and now defunct.

This piece features a beautiful “sunburst”-like spray of pleasing green color Ludlamite with good luster, sharpness and translucency sitting on bright and wonderfully contrasting, golden metallic Pyrite matrix. Great condition overall, and an excellent representation of the species and the locality.

PLEASE NOTE: There have been no more of these specimens found for several years from this locality, and due to newly imposed circumstances regarding the removal of specimens from the mine, it is a possibility that we may not see any Ludlamites from Huanuni for a long time.
