This specimen was collected in 2004 and the pieces from this find were some of the best Bolivian Augelite crystals to hit the mineral market in a long time.
This piece features several fine, sharp, lustrous, colorless, gemmy crystals of Augelite associated with blocky whitish Barite and small Quartz crystals and Pyrite on matrix. The reverse side of the specimen shows exceedingly rare, bright electric blue Chalcanthite, which I have only seen on a few pieces from this locality.
Augelite is not seen often in any format from any locality, and for a Bolivian Augelite, this is a good representative piece, especially with the wonderful Chalcanthite association!
