A classic association specimen from one of the most well-known mines in Bolivia. Subscribers to the Mineralogical Record know that an entire issue was dedicated to this unique and historic locality.
This piece features a few wonderful, relatively sharp, semi-lustrous, deep blue green color, prismatic crystals of Vivianite which are associated with beautifully contrasting golden Childrenite aggregates, and rare light green Paravauxite crystals on the back/reverse side of the specimen. The piece looks like it’s from the famous Contacto vein where some of the most important phosphate specimens were found at Siglo XX. This is a historic specimen that was collected in the 1940s when the Siglo XX Mine was booming with new and exciting phosphates!
