This specimen was collected in August of 2009 in Bolivia. On a worldwide scale, these are not the finest Pyromorphite specimens, but for Bolivia, they are wonderful unique and interesting specimens. For any of you Pyromorphite collectors out there, this is something that is very rarely offered on the open market.
Several good quality, sharp, lustrous, prismatic, bright yellow-green hexagonal crystals of Pyromorphite sit atop Sandstone matrix. Considering that these crystals are from Bolivia is what makes them truly exciting. I have never seen anything quite like this from any mine in Bolivia. These are very well-formed crystals and are only very slightly skeletal or hoppered. A great "locality" specimen for any Pyromorphite collector.
