Brookite on Quartz (doubly terminated)

This is a wonderful thumbnail specimen featuring a striking doubly-terminated 7 mm crystal of Brookite that is gracefully set among sharp, gemmy, white / colorless prismatic Quartz crystals. It's incredibly rare to find a doubly terminated Brookite crystal on matrix like this. This crystal has the good fortune of nearly lying flat when it formed, so both ends had room to finish growing. As you can see, the glowing reddish-umber color of the crystal looks beautiful (even without backlighting), and the classic desirable internal black "phantom" makes for a great touch. No damage to the Brookite and just beautiful in person.
