Pyrrhotite with Siderite

A seldom seen specimen of coppery-bronze colored, foliated Pyrrhotite with soft golden colored “discs” of Siderite from the famous Eagle Mine (more properly the New Jersey Zinc Eagle Mine) near Gilman. The piece was collected in the late 1970s. Pyrrhotite is well known from this mine, but not often available on the market. This one is more of a reference specimen than anything else, but if you’ve ever wanted to own a Gilman Pyrrhotite, here’s a good representation that won’t break the bank.
