This piece was collected by Patrick and Carl Auclair in the 1990s. The piece is a superb quality, razor sharp, rather lustrous, GEM quality crystal group of colorless Quartz from an area that RARELY produces Quartz of this quality.
Quartz of this quality is not usually seen from any locality in Colorado. It’s much more reminiscent of Alpine Quartz from the standpoint of luster and gemminess. For reference, the piece simply looks better in person than it does in the photos as all of the most miniscule particulate inside the crystal shows up under the lens of the camera. It is a superb miniature Colorado Quartz specimen that would make a worthwhile addition to a Quartz collection.
