A superb, pristine, miniature size multicolor crystal with an attractive pyramidal termination, TOP glassy luster and excellent gemminess. Afghanistan (particularly Paprok) has truly produced some of the most attractive Tourmaline specimens around for the last 25 years or so, and they have really held their own against Tourmalines from other world localities.
This crystal has a beautiful colorless "Achroite" termination that occupies over 50% of the crystal, which is incredibly rare in my experience with this material. The crystal grades into a gentle mint green to a stronger emerald green band which gives way to a soft baby pink hue throughout the rest of the prism. The crystal is complete all the way around, with an undamaged termination and superior luster on all faces. Minor accenting silvery-beige Muscovite makes for a nice accent at the base of the crystal.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain superb quality Tourmalines from Paprok for decent prices, as the locals seem to be charging more and more for them after each new find.
