When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the modern age of mineral collecting. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Pakistani Himalayas, especially the pieces from near Nagar. This locality has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine association specimens over the years.

This specimen features a few fine, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, light blue color prismatic crystals associated with glimmering silvery blades of Muscovite that have formed unusual and unique hollow hexagonal “casts” after an unknown mineral. The matrix is a mound of porcelain-esque Albite that can be seen through the beautiful Muscovite formations. The luster on the Aquamarines is very good, and there is virtually no damage to the piece overall. I have seen over a thousand Aquamarines from this locality and never have I seen one quite like this.
