Microcline (var: Amazonite) on Albite (var: Cleavelandite)

This miniature sized specimen features a few sharp, well-formed, rich blue-green colored prismatic Amazonite crystals with unusually etched / altered reddish-brown sections on the terminations. The Amazonites are sitting on a matrix of crystallized white Albite (var: Cleavelandite) "rosettes". The terminations on the Amazonite crystals are rare in my experience and make for a lovely color contrast. Collected by my maternal grandfather, Dave Bergman in 1981, and it resided in his collection until he passed in 2025. Grandpa Dave was the foreman and primary person in charge of recovering specimens at the famous Sweet Home Mine near Alma, Colorado during the late 1970s with my dad.
