Here we have a really attractive miniature specimen featuring a few green colored Apatites from the famous Sapo mine from a few years ago. These crystals have a unique appearance with compressed prismatic form, but still show very sharp, highly lustrous faces with nice translucency, aesthetically perched atop bladed white Albite matrix. The crystals are green at their core but are nearly colorless around the edges when backlit. The Apatites measure up to 8 mm across, and I don't see any damage on the display side. If you collect Apatites, phosphate or Brazilian minerals, don't miss out on this eye-catching Apatite. It appears that Sapo may never produce these attractive specimens of unusual Apatite again.
