For all the Fluorites specimens that have come out of China, this a very attractive, fine quality, cabinet size presentation piece hosting sharp, WATER-CLEAR to translucent, lovely green color, slightly stacked, cubic crystals (with dodecahedral modifications on the edges) measuring up to 3.5 cm on edge. The specimen displays very nicely from several angles and just looks like a pool of liquid green in your hands. Select faces of the crystals have excellent luster, while other faces have a graceful "frosted" appearance.
Due to the incredible clarity of the crystals, the piece was rather difficult to photograph, but we did our best to show the absolute WATER CLEAR areas, which give way to somewhat white colored internal "phantoms" in the center. The majority of the specimen is completely damage free, and I can only find a few tiny nicks that keep it from being perfect. Obviously, the base of the specimen is contacted where it was detached from the matrix, but this is more than forgivable as the main focal point of the piece is in superb condition. A tiny bit of compressed rhombic accenting grey Calcite makes for a great touch. Lastly, it must be noted that the color of these crystals really stands out under fluorescent lighting and in sunlight as opposed to incandescent lighting, but it truly must be seen in person to appreciate its gemminess and elegant beauty.
