Tourmaline

Afghanistan has been supplying the western market with remarkable tourmaline specimens for over 30 years now, and this beautiful multicolored gem crystal is no exception. It is an excellent, sharp, gemmy, glassy, striated trigonal prism with an attractive pink hue at the base, that transitions into an eye-catching green color in the upper portion of the crystal. The green section is WATER CLEAR and features a wonderful pyramidal termination. An attractive and beautifully colored tourmaline from what is one of the premier countries in the world for the material. Specimen weight is 3.23 grams.
