Here we have a classic sherry colored GEM QUALITY Topaz crystal from Dassu, Pakistan. This area has long produced some of the finest Topaz specimens in recent memory from the standpoint of color, size, and gemminess. This crystal is very sharp with a gorgeous semi-etched / textured surface on the basal termination, and the fact that the crystal is virtually WATER CLEAR makes it so much more desirable. The prism faces are all very smooth, lustrous and well-formed. I can't find any major damage, outside of the base of the crystal where it detached from the pocket wall. The piece displays well from a few angles.
You don't see nearly as many of these pieces from Pakistan on the market as compared to a few years ago, and the best ones honestly came out in the late 1990s. A beautiful and fine quality gem crystal specimen for any collector. Please note that these crystals can fade to colorless when exposed to sunlight, or possibly any light, so it should be kept out of the light if possible to help retain its color.
