Andalusite (bicolor)

A fine quality, VVS "Oval" cut gemstone of Andalusite from Bahia, Brazil. The gem shows excellent pleochroism with a combination of a soft reddish-orange hue and a light yellow-green tone face up. There are only a few worldwide localities that produce gem quality Andalusite, and this brightly colored stone would make a great addition to a gem suite.
