Quartz with Lazulite Inclusions

This one is a first for us. We've never seen Lazulite included inside of Quartz from Madagascar. Marofarafara is a well-known locality for Lazulite dating back at least 50 years, but gems are next to impossible to obtain.

This "Emerald" cut gem is essentially a colorless Quartz, but if you look closely, you can see small gem quality crystals of rich royal blue Lazulite floating inside. If you collect inclusion gems or just odd association stones, don't miss out on this rare and unique stone from this old classic locality for the material.
