Some of the best crystallized phosphates from Bolivia are found at this locality. Childrenite is a relatively rare, hydrated iron aluminum phosphate and some of the better and more unique specimens of this mineral come from Llallagua. There are only a few localities in the world where Chidrenite is found.
This specimen features several excellent, rare, semi-lustrous, brownish color, intergrown spherical aggregates (comprised of dozens of triangular bladed crystals) of Childrenite. I have photographed the crystals under the microscope to better illustrate their quality. This is unique material, and this is one of only a few pieces that I have ever had to offer. A rare display specimen of this great phosphate from this amazing locality. Don't miss out on this one.
