This Tourmaline gem is a great example of the less common material from Nigeria featuring a strange bi-color appearance with a mix of pinkish-orange and tan or beige hues depending upon the light. The gem shows a decent amount of pleochroism as well so you can find a different color from every direction. It's nearly eye clean with only one small inclusion that I can see with the naked eye.
This is a special kind of collector's stone, as the coloring is unique and anybody who likes Tourmaline gems would want to add this one to their collection. It would also make a unique birthstone gift for anybody with an October birthday. These don't come along often and it is nearly impossible to replace because it's really a one-of-a-kind color combination that would be incredibly difficult to match.
