Quartz (var: Chalcedony) / (var:Agate) / ("Grape Chalcedony / Grape Agate")

Here we have a very beautiful and showy display specimen. The combination of the gorgeous purple color "Grape Chalcedony / Grape Agate" combined with the hundreds of "rice grain" to "sheaf"-like shaped crystals of micro white Quartz is very rarely seen in my experience with this material. The micro white Quartz can be seen on both sides of the piece, which look beautiful with a loupe and even better under the microscope. No damage on either side, and the only real point of attachment that I can see is a small point on the upper edge where it must have been removed from the pocket. The two-tone effect, combined with the wonderful quality and excellent displayability make it a very worthwhile piece of this exciting material. I should also point out that this piece displays well without the aid of a base or clay.
