Quartz (var: Chalcedony) / (var:Agate) / ("Grape Chalcedony / Grape Agate")

A sturdy, yet three-dimensional specimen of "Grape Chalcedony / Grape Agate", but not just with the fine purple color, as it’s highlighted with lovely moss green colored Celadonite inclusions in alternating bands to create a beautiful two-tone effect. I think this color combination looks best with the strong purple Chalcedony as seen in this specimen. Some of the Celadonite spots almost have the appearance of melted candle wax, as they are more amorphous than the "balls" of the actual Chalcedony. The piece has excellent three-dimensional form as you can see from the photos, which is not typical for the material as many of them are somewhat "flat" and boring. A few minor rough spots keep it from being completely damage free, but overall, it’s in really good condition, and looks great in person. A great example of this unusual material that’s very fairly priced for the size and quality.
